The engine was a Air/Oil cooled cooled Four stroke, two cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer, two camshafts and four radially aligned valves per cylinder, central counterbalancer shaft.. The engine featured a 12.0:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Single dry plate clutch, hydraulically operated.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 - ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 - ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 320 mm Foating brake discs, 4 piston radial calipers in the front and a Single 265 mm disc, 2 piston floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Upside-down telescopic forks, 46 mm fixed-fork-tube diameter while the rear was equipped with a Cast aluminum single swinging arm with BMW Motorrad Paralever; central spring strut,spring preload fully adjustable by hook wrench, adjustable rebound-stage damping. The R NineT Special Edition was fitted with a 17 Liters / 4.5 US gal / 3.7 Imp gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 211 kg / 465 lbs. The wheelbase was 1487 mm / 58.4 in long.
