The BSA A65 Lightning was a twin, four-stroke classic motorcycle produced between 1970 and 1972. It could reach a top speed of 108 mph (174 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 48.01 HP (35.8 KW) @ 7000 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 75.0mm bore x 74.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 654.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 9.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (OHV).

Drive

The bike has a 4-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

It came with a 3.25-19 front tire and a 4.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The A65 Lightning was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank.
