It came with a 2.50-18 front tire and a 2.75-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a 135mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks. The wheelbase was 50.59 inches (1285 mm) long.

The 1980 MY Benelli 125 Turismo is an entry-level machine, created for those riders that want to spend more time behind the bars. It also comes standard with features such as a dual shocks as a rear suspension, a telescopic front fork, a front disc brake, a blacked-out frame, a chromed exhaust system, laced wheels, an analogue instrument cluster, and a round headlamp.

In the tech/engine department, it sports an air-cooled, two-stroke, 125cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and can reach a maximum power output of 10 horsepower and 11 Nm of torque.
