The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 37.0mm bore x 46.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 7.5:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the wet, cable operated.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 2.50-16 front tire and a 2.75-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a floating engine with hydraulic rear dumper. The Pepe 50 was fitted with a 1.59 Gallon (6.00 Liters) fuel tank. This entry-level scooter is sure to appeal to the more nostalgic among riders, boasting a design that combines both modern features and a look inspired from the 60's Vespa scooters.
