The Benelli Pepe 50 was a single cylinder, four-stroke scooter motorcycle produced between 2006 and 2016. Max torque was 3.1 ft/lbs (4.2 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 4.69 HP (3.5 KW) @ 6250 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 37.0mm bore x 46.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 7.5:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the wet, cable operated.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.50-16 front tire and a 2.75-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a floating engine with hydraulic rear dumper. The Pepe 50 was fitted with a 1.59 Gallon (6.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 205.03 pounds (93.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 50.59 inches (1285 mm) long.

The 2016 MY Benelli Pepe 50 has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 50cc, single cylinder powerplant mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This entry-level scooter is sure to appeal to the more nostalgic among riders, boasting a design that combines both modern features and a look inspired from the 60's Vespa scooters. Standard features include a telescopic front fork, an adjustable mono-shock in the rear, a front disc brake, lightweight, 16" aluminum-alloy wheels, a dual seat, an under-seat storage compartment, passenger grab rails and a rear luggage rack.
