The Bimota YB7 was a Liquid-cooled, four-stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Bimota in 1988. Max torque was 28.03 ft/lbs (38.0 Nm) @ 9500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 65.04 HP (48.5 KW) @ 12000 RPM.

Engine

A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a Gear transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc.

Chassis

It came with a 120/60-17 front tire and a 160/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 280mm discs in the front and a single 230mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 42mm Marzocchi telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins adjustable mono-shock.

The 1988 MY Bimota YB7 sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 399cc, transverse four cylinder powerhouse mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 65 horsepower and 38 Nm of torque. This is one of the smallest engines to ever be fitted on a motorcycle from the Italian brand, and was borrowed from the FZR400.

It also boasts standard features such as a 42mm Marzocchi telescopic fork, an Ohlins adjustable mono-shock as a rear suspension, Brembo brakes with dual front discs, a large windscreen, an analogue instrument cluster, a single seat, a full-fairing and cast-aluminum wheels.
