Famous desert competition rider on Harley-Davidsons and friend of the late Steve McQueen. Ekins' collection of Harleys has often been seen in films, notably the bike ridden by James Stewart in The Spirit of St Louis (the Charles Lindbergh story) and the American TV series Nichols in which James Garner rides a Harley-Davidson single.
