The Buell M2 Cyclone MK1 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, V-Twin, pushrod actuated overhead valve, 2 valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by Buell between 1997 and 1999. Max torque was 83.35 ft/lbs (113.0 Nm) @ 5600 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 93.07 HP (69.4 KW) @ 6100 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1203.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 170/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 340mm disc, 6-piston caliper in the front and a single 230mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Showa adjustable mono-shock. The M2 Cyclone MK1 was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank.

1997 Buell M2 Cyclone MK1[edit | edit source]

The 1997 MY Buell M2 Cyclone MK1 has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 1203cc, V-Twin powerplant paired to a five-speed manual transmission and can produce a claimed 93 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque.

This powerful naked machine also comes with an under-belly exhaust system, for a lower center of gravity, a dual seat, a small wind protector, cast-aluminum wheels, a 43mm Showa telescopic fork coupled to a Showa adjustable mono-shock in the rear, front and rear disc brakes, a digital and analogue instrument cluster and mid-mounted foot pegs.

1998 Buell M2 Cyclone MK1[edit | edit source]

The 1998 MY Buell M2 Cyclone MK1 has standard features such as an under-belly exhaust system, for a lower center of gravity, a dual seat, a small wind protector, cast-aluminum wheels, a 43mm Showa telescopic fork coupled to a Showa adjustable mono-shock in the rear, front and rear disc brakes, a digital and analogue instrument cluster and mid-mounted foot pegs.

In the engine department it comes equipped with an air-cooled, four-stroke, 1203cc, V-Twin powerplant paired to a five-speed manual transmission that can reach a maximum power output of 94 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque.
