The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 98.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 996.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

It came with a 110/80-18 front tire and a 150/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a upside down telscopic hydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a progressive, single shock absorber with adjustable spring preload. The Navigator 1000 was fitted with a 5.3 Gallon (20.06 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 462.97 pounds (210.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.34 inches (1431 mm) long.
