The 2015 Can-Am Commander 1000 XT-P has been designed to be used on the most remote work sites or the most harsh off-road tracks around the world. It comes standard with off-road enhancing features such as Fox 2.0 Podium RC2 piggyback shocks, 12" beadlock wheels with Maxxis Bighorn tires mounted on them, a heavy-duty front bumper, rock sliders and mudguards, a front sway bar, as well as technologies such as a tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering, a Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential, and an Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC).

At its heart lies a powerful, 85 horsepower, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 976cc, Rotax V-twin powerhouse paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
