The Can-Am/ Brp DS 450 X XC was a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-valve head with high-flow “Durchzugskraft” design, 38mm intake valve, 31 mm Nimonic – alloy ATV produced by Can-Am/ Brp between 2009 and 2011.

A 96.5mm bore x 96.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 449.3 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed manual transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 21 x 7R-10 front tire and a 20 x 10R-9 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual 182 mm discs with inverted twin-piston calipers in the front and a 198 mm rotor with single piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a R-Type forged aluminum Double A-arm KYB8 HPG piggyback shocks with compression, rebound and preload adjustments while the rear was equipped with a R-Type cast aluminum swingarm Chromoly hollow rear axle KYB8 HPG piggyback shock with compression, rebound and preload adjustments. The DS 450 X XC was fitted with a 0.79 Gallon (3.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 50.0 inches (1270 mm) long.
