It came with a Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 27 x 9 x 12 in front tire and a Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 27 x 11 x 12 in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the front and a dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic single-piston calipers in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm, FOX 2.0 PODIUM C Piggyback with compression and preload adjustments while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing A-arms independent rear suspension (TTA) with sway bar, FOX 2.0 PODIUM C Piggyback with compression and preload adjustments. The Maverick 1000R XC was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 84.29 inches (2141 mm) long.

The 2015 MY Can-Am Maverick 1000R XC is the most versatile sporty SxS machine designed by the American engineers, and it comes standard with quite a few features that increase its usefulness on the work site, as well as on leisure strolls. At its heart lies a 101 horsepower, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 976cc, Rotax V-twin powerhouse mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which features a selectable 2WD / 4WD drive train with a Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential.

It comes standard with a multipurpose rear rack with LinQ quick-attach, an adjustable driver's seat with tilt steering, as well as modern technologies and parts, such as the tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering, the Fox 2.0 Podium C HPG piggyback shocks and bulky, 27" Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires.
