It came with a Carlisle ACT radial 26 x 8 x 12 in front tire and a Carlisle ACT radial 26 x 10 x 12 in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the front and a dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm while the rear was equipped with a double Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI2) with quick-release sway bar. The wheelbase was 82.01 inches (2083 mm) long.

The 2015 MY Can-Am Outlander 6x6 1000 XT sports a powerful, 82 horsepower, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 976cc, Rotax V-twin powerhouse paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with an extra low L gear and a selectable 4WD / 6WD drive train and a Visco-Lok QE anti-locking front differential. It comes standard with a tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS), as well as a Surrounding Spar Technology (SST) G2 frame, which ensure increased agility, as well as a more comfortable machine.

In addition, it has a high-end suspension package, composed of a double A-arm front unit and a double Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI) rear unit, which ensure it can overcome any obstacle. Standard equipment such as the WARN winch with a roller fairhead, the multipurpose front rack with LinQ quick-attach accessory system, a heavy-duty front bumper and the dual-level cargo box ensure it can undertake a wide variety of tasks, no matter how remote the work site may be.
