The bike has a CVT, P / R / N / H / L transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a Carlisle Trail Wolf 25 x 8 x 12 in front tire and a Carlisle Trail Wolf 25 x 10 x 12 in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the front and a single 214 mm ventilated disc brake with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI). The wheelbase was 50.98 inches (1295 mm) long.

The 2015 MY Can-Am Outlander L 450 addresses those riders who want a fun and gritty and fun ATV, but have a smaller budget. At its heat lies a 38 horsepower, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 427 cc, single cylinder powerhouse mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Also, it has a selectable 2WD / 4WD drive train with a Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential, which ensures the right amount of power to overcome any obstacle.
It comes standard with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI) rear suspension unit, and a Surrounding Spar Technology (SST) G2 frame which not only increases its agility, but also makes for a more comfortable machine. Other features such as the 25" tires mounted on 12" steel wheels, add to the desirability of this cool machine.
