It came with a ITP Holeshot ATR 25 x 8 x 12 in front tire and a ITP Holeshot ATR 25 x 10 x 12 in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the front and a dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm, FOX Performance Series 1.5 PODIUM RC2 while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI), FOX Performance Series 1.5 PODIUM RC2. The wheelbase was 50.98 inches (1295 mm) long.

For ATV fans that want the best possible performance, the engineers from Can-Am have launched the 2015 MY Renegade 850 X XC, which comes standard with race-oriented features such as an aluminum Tape-profile handlebar with wind deflectors and square pod, a tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering, 12" aluminum beadlock wheels, Fox Performance Series 1.5 Podium RC2 shocks, an aluminum skid-plate, as well as an X visual package, which includes a special paint scheme, race graphics and a race-derived seat cover.

At its heart lies a powerful, 78 horsepower, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 854cc, Rotax V-twin powerhouse mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that features a selectable 2WD / 4WD drive train with Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential.
