The DKW NZ500 was a twin, two-stroke allround motorcycle produced between 1939 and 1941. It could reach a top speed of 71 mph (115 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 18.1 HP (13.5 KW) @ 4200 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled twin, two-stroke. A 64.0mm bore x 76.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 489.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

It came with a 3.5-19 front tire and a 3.5-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The bike weighed just 429.9 pounds (195.0 Kg).
