The DKW SB500A was a twin, two-stroke allround motorcycle produced between 1934 and 1939. It could reach a top speed of 71 mph (115 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 14.62 HP (10.9 KW) @ 4000 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled twin, two-stroke. A 68.0mm bore x 68.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 494.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 5.7:1 compression ratio.

Drive

The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the foot-operated.

Chassis

It came with a 3.5-19 front tire and a 3.5-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear.
