Daytona Bike Week

What started as beach races at Daytona, Florida progressed to the purpose-built Daytona Speedway track and the famous Daytona 200 race. But a major festival of motorcycling has developed around the racing which although it has seen increasing numbers of Japanese bikes in recent years. is still really Harley-Davidson-dominated. Apart from cruising the flat sandy beach in front of the town (recently restricted), there are custom shows (the Rat's Hole and Boardwalk). Innumerable trade stands and Main Street which for Bike Week is solid with Harleys.

Boardwalk Custom ShowEdit

An integral part of Daytona Bike Week. the Boardwalk has grown from a side event into a show in its own right. Custom hikes of all shapes, sizes and types can be seen there every year, though it's fair to say that Harleys still predominate.

Rat's HoleEdit

Big Daddy Rat holds these world-famous custom bike shows at Daytona Bike Week in March and the Sturgis Rally in August. He also puts on an annual event at the Essen Motor Show in Germany.

Sopotnik's Cabbage PatchEdit

Infamous Daytona campsite called Sopotnik's Cabbage Patch, where the main attraction during Bike Week is the Women's Coleslaw Wrestling (it is a cabbage farm after all!), where clothes are optional.
