The Derbi Variant 50 was a single cylinder, two-stroke scooter produced between 2006 and 2018. Claimed horsepower was 5.63 HP (4.2 KW) @ 7500 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 40.0mm bore x 39.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.4 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 10.9:1 compression ratio.
Drive
The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the centrifugal automatic.
Chassis
It came with a 120/70-12 front tire and a 120/70-12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic fork while the rear was equiped with a single shock absorber. The Variant 50 was fitted with a 1.85 Gallon (7.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 218.26 pounds (99.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 53.46 inches (1358 mm) long.
