The Ducati 250 Monza was a air-cooled, four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, desmodromic Classic motorcycle produced by Ducati in 1968. Claimed horsepower was 21.05 HP (15.7 KW) @ 7200 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 73.7mm bore x 73.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 2.75 -18 front tire and a 3.00 -18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via drum in the front and a drum in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks.
1968 - 1972 Ducati 250 Monza[edit | edit source]
The 1968 Ducati 250 Monza was inspired by the 250 F3 Racer rode by Franco Villa in official races. It had, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 249cc, single cylinder desmodromic engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and could produce a claimed 21 horsepower at 7200 rpm.
Also, it had standard features such as a drum braking system both in the front and in the rear, pull-back handlebars, a dual seat, laced wheels, a chromed exhaust system, a suspension package composed of a hydraulic telescopic fork in the front and dual shocks in the rear, a center stand and a small, round headlight.
