Engine

A 38.1mm bore x 38.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 47.6 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 3-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.

Chassis

It came with a 2.25x18 front tire and a 2.25x18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm, twin shocks.

The Ducati 48 SL was introduce in 1964 just for the home market. This bike was a combination of the 48 Sport with some parts from the 80 Setter.
