The Ducati 500 GP was a V-twin, 4-stroke, air cooled Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati in 1972. Claimed horsepower was 72.01 HP (53.7 KW) @ 11000 RPM.

Engine

A 73.7mm bore x 73.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 498.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a Gears transmission. Power was moderated via the Dry multiple disks.

Chassis

It came with a 3.25-18" front tire and a 3.50-18" rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc 280 mm in the front and a Single disc 280 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic hydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm, two shock absorbers Ceriani. The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.
