The Ducati 748SPS was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati in 2000. Max torque was 55.32 ft/lbs (75.0 Nm) @ 8700 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 109.96 HP (82.0 KW) @ 11000 RPM.

A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 748.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a gear transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, multi-plate, hydraulic control.

Chassis

It came with a 120/60 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 220mm disc, 1-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Showa adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage.
