The Ducati 749 R was a v2, four-stroke standard produced by Ducati between 2004 and 2006. Max torque was 6.34 ft/lbs (8.6 Nm) @ 8250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 116.94 HP (87.2 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 94.0mm bore x 54.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 749.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the dry multiplate with hydraulic control slipper clutch.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a öhlins 43 mm upside-down fully adjustable fork with tin surface treatment, for radial calipers while the rear was equipped with a progressive linkage with fully adjustable öhlins monoshock. The 749 R was fitted with a 4.83 Gallon (18.30 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 404.55 pounds (183.5 Kg). The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.
