The Ducati 800 Sport was a air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati in 2003. Max torque was 52.37 ft/lbs (71.0 Nm) @ 6250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 74.96 HP (55.9 KW) @ 8250 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder. A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 803.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 170/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Marzocchi upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Sachs fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive cantilever linkage. The 800 Sport was fitted with a 4.23 Gallon (16.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 401.9 pounds (182.3 Kg). The wheelbase was 55.31 inches (1405 mm) long.

The 2003 MY Ducati 800 Sport has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 803cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission, and can reach a maximum power output of 75 horsepower and 70 Nm of torque.

Also, this machine comes with a 43mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic fork coupled to a Sachs, fully-adjustable monoshock in the rear, dual front disc brakes with Brembo calipers, a dual seat with a passenger grab handle, blacked-out, cast-aluminum wheels, a black trellis frame and a digital instrumentation display. Also, this machine can be purchases either with a full-fairing, or a half-fairing, both of which include a small windscreen.
