The Ducati 848 Nicky Hayden Edition was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati in 2010. Max torque was 70.81 ft/lbs (96.0 Nm) @ 8250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 133.97 HP (99.9 KW) @ 10000 RPM.

A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 848.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, Brembo Monobloc in the front and a single 245mm disc, Brembo Monobloc in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Showa fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The Hayden Special Edition of the Ducati 848, created only for the American market, brings forth a special livery and paint scheme, an LED dash illumination for better visibility, a 30mm mirror extension kit and aluminum cam belt tensioner pulleys which reduce weight and moving mass. In all other departments, it has the same fittings as the base model.

Also, it boasts a maximum power output of 134 horsepower and 96 Nm of torque from its liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 848cc, 90-degree desmodromic V-Twin, that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.
