2004 Ducati 999R

If you are on the market for a race-like machine, but don't have the wallet for a custom-built one, then the 2004 MY Ducati 999R may be the right choice for you. As all "R"-suffixed machines from Borgo Panigale, its engine has been tweaked and remapped, to deliver the highest possible power output, and its bodywork has been lightened by adding carbon fiber parts. Style-wise, it pretty much looks the same as a base 999 or a 999S, the only noticeable difference being the R after the 999 on the side-fairing.

The 2005 MY Ducati 999R has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, fuel-injected, 999cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can reach a maximum power output of 139 horsepower and 108 Nm of torque.

Also, it boasts fittings such as Brembo brake calipers on its front dual discs and on its single disc in the rear, a digital instrumentation screen with an analogue tachometer, a full-fairing with a small windscreen, a fully-adjusable, TiN-coated Ohlins upside-down front fork coupled to an adjustable Ohlins monoshock with a progressive linkage in the rear, a single seat, cast-aluminum wheels and dual headlights.
