The Ducati Monster S2R 1000 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by Ducati between 2003 and 2008. Max torque was 70.07 ft/lbs (95.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 94.94 HP (70.8 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder. A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 992.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry multiplate with hydraulic control.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR 17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR 17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Sachs adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The Monster S2R 1000 was fitted with a 3.7 Gallon (14.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 392.42 pounds (178.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.69 inches (1440 mm) long.
