The Ducati Monster S2R was a air-cooled, L-Twin, 2 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by Ducati between 2004 and 2015. Max torque was 58.27 ft/lbs (79.0 Nm) @ 6250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 87.03 HP (64.9 KW) @ 8250 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled air-cooled, L-Twin, 2 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder. A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 803.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

Drive

The bike has a chain transmission. Power was moderated via the APTC wet multiplate with hydraulic control, self-servo action on drive, slipper action on over-run.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 320mm discs, 4-piston radial caliper, ABS in the front and a 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper, ABS in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm upside-down forks while the rear was equipped with a progressive linkage with preload and rebound adjustable monoshock.
