The Ducati Multistrada 1000s DS was a v2, four-stroke Road motorcycle produced by Ducati between 2002 and 2006. Max torque was 6.93 ft/lbs (9.4 Nm) @ 5000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 88.91 HP (66.3 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 94.0mm bore x 71.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 992.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the dry multiplate with hydraulic control.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a öhlins 43 mm upside-down fully adjustable fork with tin surface treatment while the rear was equipped with a progressive linkage with fully adjustable öhlins monoshock. The 2005 MY Ducati Multistrada 1000S DS has been designed for those riders who make zero compromises when it comes to performance and agility. It has a new engine mapping, which increases the power output to 92 horsepower and 88 Nm of torque, a redesigned chassis, for superior maneuverability, and a race-derived Ohlins suspension package, composed of a 43mm fully-adjustable upside-down fork with TiN-coating and a fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage in the rear.
