2015 Ducati Panigale R

The 2015 MY Ducati Panigale R is probably the closest thing a street bike can be to a World Superbike one. At its heart lies the proven, liquid-cooled, 1198cc, Superquadro L-Twin powerplant with 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder which can produce an asphalt-wrinkling 205 horsepower and 136 Nm of torque. Every part of the Panigale R is race-inspired or directly derived from racing technologies, such as the Monoscocca chassis, carbon fiber body parts, an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, a Lithium-ion battery, which saves up to 2 kg of weight, an Engine Braking Control (EBC), or the Ducati Safety Pack (DSP), which includes cornering ABS as standard, traction control and wheelie control. All this is packed in a pure-bread Italian bodywork and design, with a stylish racing stripe from front to rear, which warns you from the start that this machine only feels at home on the race track.

The 2016 MY Ducati Panigale R is derived directly from the MotoGP, and has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 1198cc, Superquadro L-Twin desmodromic engine, that was paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a slipper and self-servo clutch, and can reach a maximum power output of 205 horsepower and 136 Nm of torque.

Also, it comes with a monocoque aluminum frame, a full ride-by-wire system, Marchesini forged-aluminum wheels, a Bosch Inertial Platform, carbon-fiber body parts, an Ohlins race-grade mechanical suspension package, Brembo brakes that are similar to the ones used on official racing machines, and the latest technologies developed by the House of Bologna, such as the DTC, DQS, EBC, DWC, ABS 9.1 MP and DDA+.
