The Ducati SCRAMBLER 450 was a -stroke single-cylinder, with 10 forward configuration Light alloy cylinder head and block (with cast-iron liner) Classic motorcycle produced by Ducati in 1962. Claimed horsepower was 26.95 HP (20.1 KW) @ 6500 RPM.

Engine

A 86.4mm bore x 86.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 436.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.

Chassis

It came with a 3.50x19 front tire and a 4.00x18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Front hydraulic telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Swinging arm rear suspension with adjustable shocks. The wheelbase was 54.29 inches (1379 mm) long.

The Scrambler was primarily intended for the American market. It underwent continual modification until 1968, when the true Scramblers with "wide-casing" engines were brought out, first in the 250 and 350 versions and then, in 1969, the 450.
