The Ducati SPORT CLASSIC FAMILY was a V-twin, 2-valve OHC desmodromic, Air-cooled Classic motorcycle produced by Ducati in 2005. Max torque was 48.68 ft/lbs (66.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 91.99 HP (68.6 KW) @ 8000 RPM.
Engine
A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 992.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive
The bike has a Gears transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.
Chassis
It came with a 120/70 R17 front tire and a 180/55 R17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double disc 320 mm in the front and a Single disc 245 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Sachs fully adjustable monoshock absorber on the left side. At the start of 2004 Ducati announced the birth of a new family of bikes that would take inspiration from the first, historic twin-cylinders created in the early '70s, the Sport Classic family.
