The SuperSport is powered by a specially adapted version of the already renowned and appreciated 937 cm3 twin-cylinder Ducati Testastretta 11°. The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the wet multiplate clutch mechanically operated, self-servo action on drive, slipper action on over-run.
