The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 68.6mm bore x 68.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 182.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a CVT transmission. Power was moderated via the automatic.
ChassisEdit
It came with a 120/70-14 front tire and a 140/60-14 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 35mm telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual adjustable shocks. The DNA180 was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 275.58 pounds (125.0 Kg).
2000 Gilera DNA 180Edit
The 2000 MY Gilera DNA 180 has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 182cc, single cylinder powerhouse, that was paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Also, it has been fitted with a nose-fairing with a small windscreen, a dual seat, blacked-out, cast-aluminum wheels, a 35mm telescopic front fork coupled to dual adjustable shocks in the rear, a belt final drive, a scooter-like exhaust system and a youthful and aggressive bodywork.
