The Gilera Nexus was a single cylinder, four-stroke scooter motorcycle produced between 2009 and 2012. Max torque was 16.96 ft/lbs (23.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 21.19 HP (15.8 KW) @ 7250 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 75.0mm bore x 63.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 292.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the dry centrifugal type.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-15 front tire and a 140/60-14 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic hydraulic fork with ö 35 mm shafts; while the rear was equiped with a spring with preload and double damper. The Nexus was fitted with a 3.96 Gallon (15.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 383.6 pounds (174.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.65 inches (1515 mm) long.
