The Gilera Nexus 500 was a single cylinder, four-stroke scooter produced by Gilera between 2003 and 2009. Max torque was 31.72 ft/lbs (43.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 39.29 HP (29.3 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 92.0mm bore x 69.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 460.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive

The bike has a automatic transmission. Power was moderated via the automatic.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-15 front tire and a 160/60-14 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. stainless steel double disc, with floating caliper and two brembo pistons 28 mm front left and two brembo pistons 26 mm front right in the front and a single disc. stainless steel disk, fixed caliper, two 34 mm opposed pistons in the rear. The front suspension was a kayaba telehydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a progressive power drive, kayaba gas shock absorber with spring preload. The Nexus 500 was fitted with a 3.96 Gallon (15.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 222.67 pounds (101.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.65 inches (1515 mm) long.
