The Gilera RC600R was a single cylinder, four-stroke enduro / offroad motorcycle produced between 1989 and 1993. It could reach a top speed of 104 mph (167 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 53.37 HP (39.8 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 98.0mm bore x 74.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 558.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the wet multi plate.

Chassis

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 120/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. 2-piston calipers in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a kayaba 46mm multi adjustable while the rear was equiped with a kayaba mono multi adjustable. The RC600R was fitted with a 3.17 Gallon (12.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 304.24 pounds (138.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.27 inches (1480 mm) long.
