The Harley-Davidson Model E was a v2, four-stroke custom / cruiser motorcycle produced between 1948 and 1950.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 88.9mm bore x 84.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 999.7 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 6.5:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

Drive

The bike has a 3-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

It came with a 5.00-16 front tire and a 5.00-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a spring forks while the rear was equiped with a hardtail. The Model E was fitted with a 3.75 Gallon (14.19 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 551.16 pounds (250.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.49 inches (1511 mm) long.
