Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 98.4mm bore x 111.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1746.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 9.7:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the multi-plate with diaphragm spring in oil bath.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a mt90-b16 front tire and a mu85-b16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. abs. 4-piston in the front and a single disc. abs. 2-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a twin shocks. The Softail Deluxe was fitted with a 5.0 Gallon (18.93 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 668.0 pounds (303.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 64.21 inches (1631 mm) long.
