A nationwide demonstration ride program in 1985 which took place over three weekends when 40,000 potential customers took 90,000 test rides, though not enough bought hikes to justify the $3 million that SuperRide cost to set up. But since then, Harley-Davidson has become one of the foremost companies for offering demo rides at shows, events and dealerships.
