The 1978 Harley Davidson XLH 1000 Sportster Hugger has been designed specifically for riders with a smaller inseam and arm length, but can just as well fit the taste of larger riders who simply prefer a more laid-back riding position. Besides a low seat height, this machine also comes with laced wheels, dual front disc brakes, a single disc in the rear, a suspension package composed of a telescopic fork in the front and dual shocks in the rear, a dual seat, and mid-mounted controls.

In the engine department, it sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 997cc, 45° V-Twin powerhouse mated to a four-speed manual transmission and produces a claimed 55 horsepower at 5800 rpm.
