The Honda CB160 Sport was a 160cc, inline-twin, 4-stroke, OHC, street motorcycle manufactured by Honda from 1965 through 1967 and replaced by the Honda CB175. It could reach a top speed of 66 mph (106 km/h). Max torque was 10.25 ft/lbs (13.9 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 13.68 HP (10.2 KW) @ 8000 RPM.


Engine

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 57.3mm bore x 63.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 162.7 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 80/100-17 front tire and a 110/90-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake). optional combined breaking system (cbs) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The CB Unicorn 160 was fitted with a 3.17 Gallon (12.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 297.62 pounds (135.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 52.13 inches (1324 mm) long.


About

The tank, side covers, fenders, and fork legs were silver. The engine was a parallel twin with dual carburetors and linked to a 4-speed transmission. The serial number began CL160-1000001. This model with a skid plate and no electric starter was built only in 1966. Later models were actually dealer-installed CL kits on CB models.

The CB160 came in four available colors: Black with Silver, Scarlet Red with Silver, Blue with Silver, and White with Silver. The gas tank, frame, forks, and rear shocks were the basic color (black, red, blue, or white). The headlight and taillight were also the basic color. The fenders and side covers were silver. The seat was blue on the blue unit, but black on all the rest. The engine was a 161cc OHC parallel twin with dual carburetors. The transmission was a 4-speed. The serial number began CB160-1000001.
