The Honda CB400A was a in-line four, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Honda between 1975 and 2017. It could reach a top speed of 100 mph (161 km/h). Max torque was 28.03 ft/lbs (38.0 Nm) @ 9500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 51.23 HP (38.2 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 55.0mm bore x 42.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-plate coil spring.

Chassis

It came with a 120/60-zr17 front tire and a 160/60-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. four-piston nissin hydraulic callipers. in the front and a single disc. abs. single-piston nissin hydraulic caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm showa telescopic fork with pre-load adjustment while the rear was equipped with a twin remote reservoir showa shock with spring pre-load adjustment.
