The Honda CBR 400 R was a Liquid cooled, four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Sport touring motorcycle produced by Honda in 1987. Max torque was 28.77 ft/lbs (39.0 Nm) @ 10000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 59.0 HP (44.0 KW) @ 12500 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder.. The engine featured a 11.0:1 compression ratio.
Drive
Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate coil spring.
Chassis
It came with a 110/90-16 front tire and a 130/70-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x Discs in the front and a Single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Mono shock. The CBR400R was fitted with a 14.5 Liters / 3.8 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 165 kg / 363.7 lbs.
