1st Generation
Engine
The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder.. The engine featured a 11.0:1 compression ratio.
Drive
Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate coil spring.
Chassis
It came with a 110/90-16 front tire and a 130/70-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x Discs in the front and a Single disc in the rear. Honda 399cc version of its 2013 500-series motorcycles for the Japanese market. The Honda CBR400R, CB400F and 400X will be offered in Japan instead of their respective 500 versions, as they are a better fit to the country’s tiered licensing system than the CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X.
Like the larger engine, the new powerplant is a liquid-cooled DOHC parallel Twin engine. The smaller engine has the same 67mm bore as the 500 engine, but at 56.6mm, it has a smaller stroke than the 500 engine’s 66.8mm.
