The Honda CM450A matic was a twin, four-stroke Road motorcycle produced by Honda in 1982. Claimed horsepower was 46.0 HP (34.3 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 75.0mm bore x 50.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 450.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive

The bike has a 2-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the automatic.

Chassis

It came with a -18 front tire and a -16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a dual shock. The CM450A matic was fitted with a 3.43 Gallon (13.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 390.22 pounds (177.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 0.04 inches (1 mm) long.

The CM450A-82 Hondamatic was sold in 1982 in two available colors: Candy Muse Red with Candy Antares Red or Candy Empire Blue with Candy Dark Blue. The gas tank and side covers were two-tone. The "CM450A HONDAMATIC" side cover decal was gold. The comstar wheels were highlighted black. The speedometer had a 85 mph (135 kph) limit. The engine was a 447cc SOHC 3-valve parallel twin with dual carburetors. The transmission was a two-speed automatic with torque converter. The serial number began JH2PC052*CM000014.

The CM450A-83 Hondamatic was sold in 1983 in one of two color schemes: Black with Achilles Black Metallic or Candy Regal Brown with Chestnut Gold Metallic. The gas tank and side covers were two-tone. The "450 HONDAMATIC" side cover decal was silver and white. The wheels were cast allow. The speedometer now had a 105 mph (170 kph) limit.
