The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, parallel Twin with 270° crank, SOHC, 4 valves per cylinder.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Wet, multi-plate with coil springs, aluminum cam.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90-R21 tube type front tire and a 150/70-R18 tube type rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 310 mm floating hydraulic discs with aluminum hub and radial fit 4-piston calipers and sintered metal pads in the front and a Single 256mm wave hydraulic disc with 2-piston caliper and sintered metal pads. Also Lever-Lock Type Parking Brake System on DCT/ABS model in the rear. The CRF1000L Africa Twin was fitted with a 18.7 Liters / 4.96 gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1574.8 mm / 62.0 in long.
