The Honda CRF 1000L AFRICA TWIN ADVENTURE SPORTS was a Liquid-cooled 4-stroke 8-valve parallel twin with 270 crank and uni-cam Enduro motorcycle produced by Honda in 2018. Max torque was 72.28 ft/lbs (98.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 94.94 HP (70.8 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

The bike has a Constant mesh 6-speed MT / 6-speed DCT with on and off-road riding modes transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate with coil springs, Aluminum Cam Assist and Slipper clutch.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 150/70-R18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 310mm dual wave floating hydraulic disc with aluminum hub and radial fit 4-piston calipers and sintered metal pads in the front and a 256mm wave hydraulic disc with 1-piston caliper and sintered metal pads. Also Lever-Lock Type Parking Brake System on DCT model with additional slide type 1-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa 45mm cartridge-type inverted telescopic fork with hydraulic dial-style preload and damping (compression & rebound) adjuster, 252mm stroke, 224mm axle travel while the rear was equipped with a Monoblock cast aluminum swing arm with Pro-Link with gas-charged damper, hydraulic dial-style preload adjuster and rebound damping adjustment, 240 mm rear wheel travel, 101 mm stroke. The wheelbase was 62.2 inches (1580 mm) long.
