In 1962, Honda stunned the racing world by displaying its first 50cc-class works machine, the RC110. A commercially available model of the RC110 was also introduced at the same time under the name CR110 Cub Racing, and its domestic sales started in June 1962.

A second racing version, designated the RC111, aimed specifically at competing at the Isle of Man. It revved to 16,000 rpm and could approach 90 mph.
Now the Dream 50R commemorates Honda's early racing history and the dream Mr. Honda had for international competition.

2004 Honda Dream 50R[edit | edit source]
A fun, small-displacement replica of Honda old-school road racing beasts, the 2003 Dream 50R is a retro racing machine built for track fun only. This means you're not allowed to ride it on public roads, as the bike lacks the headlight and turn signals and its electric system is kept to the bare necessities of the racing purpose.
A true HRC machine, the Dream 50R boasts a high-performance 4-valve 49cc engine which will put a big smile on the face of every rider using it.
